Honey vinegar – a harmonious balance between sweetness and acidity

Honey vinegar is produced by first fermenting honey water into mead (honey wine) and then into vinegar using acetic acid bacteria. This process preserves the floral honey notes and creates a vinegar with mild acidity and a subtle sweetness.

In the kitchen, honey vinegar is excellent for salad dressings, chutneys, and marinades. It gives chutneys and pickled fruits a special touch and can replace apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar when a gentle sweetness is desired.

Honey vinegar contains few nutrients, as fermentation breaks down vitamins. Due to its acidity, it should always be diluted to protect teeth and stomach. Health claims are unsubstantiated; enjoy it as an aromatic condiment.

Tip: Honey vinegar with mustard, olive oil and fresh herbs makes a delicious dressing for leafy salads and sheep's cheese.

Honey vinegar: fine vinegar with a honey note

Our honey vinegar is a true rarity. Produced at the Adrian manufactory, it comes from pure organic honey – carefully fermented, naturally matured, and completely free of artificial additives. The focus is not on sweetness, but on the delicate, fermented honey flavor: floral, well-rounded, and with a pleasantly mild acidity.

Unlike many commercially available products, our honey vinegar is not based on flavored vinegar with added honey, but is made from fermented honey water – a traditional method that is rarely used today. This is precisely what makes it so authentic, special, and unique.

Fine, soft and balanced

Adrian honey vinegar delights with its mild acidity and smooth, harmonious flavor profile. The delicate aromas are reminiscent of dried flowers, malt, and a hint of wax. Its sweetness is subtle and never overpowering. Compared to fruit or wine vinegar, it has a softer character – ideal for those who appreciate a balanced taste.

Thanks to its Bioland certification, the focus is not only on taste and quality, but also on sustainability, nature conservation and bee welfare.

Versatile, even surprising

Whether in salads, marinades, or drinks – honey vinegar is a true all-rounder. It adds depth to green and bitter salads, pairs wonderfully with mild goat cheese or roasted pumpkin, and refines oriental dishes like couscous or hummus. Cooked root vegetables, lentil dishes, and glazed onions also benefit from its delicate acidity.

Honey vinegar is particularly popular as a refreshing drinking vinegar: A teaspoon in mineral water with ice makes a slightly tart, natural summer drink – completely without added sugar or artificial flavors.

Naturally Adrian – naturally honey

For our honey vinegar, we use only Bioland-certified honey from responsible beekeeping. Fermentation is slow and gentle – only in this way can the characteristic aromas of the honey fully develop. We consciously avoid adding sugar, colorings, or preservatives.

As with all our products: quality takes time, good ingredients – and genuine craftsmanship.

Please store in a cool, dark place to preserve the flavor.
