Pear vinegar: fresh acidity from ripe pears
At Adrian Manufaktur, we focus on combining traditional production methods with modern culinary culture. For our pear vinegar, we consciously use heritage pear varieties – including the flavorful Hirschbirne, harvested in autumn. These varieties come from regional orchards and are fermented according to time-honored traditions: First, the juice is transformed into pear wine, which then matures into vinegar without any additives. The fermentation process is entirely natural; we consistently avoid adding sugar or flavorings, as is common in industrial vinegars. Stainless steel tanks ensure exceptional freshness during the maturation period.
Delicate, tangy pear aromas
Our pear vinegar has a balanced acidity of around five percent and remains pleasantly thin. Its aroma is lively and fruity, reminiscent of the sweet scent of ripe pears, which is found in Germany's orchards with over 300 varieties. Its crisp, fruity notes perfectly complement bitter leafy salads, arugula, or soft cheeses. Even warm dishes like potato gratin or a delicate beef salad gain an elegant freshness from a splash of pear vinegar.
Versatile use in the kitchen
Adrian Pear Vinegar is a true all-rounder: try it in salad dressings, fruity sauces, or as a marinade for vegetables. Combined with regional oils such as pumpkin seed, hemp, or rapeseed oil, it gives bitter salads a special kick. Its fruity profile also harmonizes with mild cheeses or desserts – for example, drizzled over vanilla ice cream with cinnamon or roasted nuts. If you're looking for a refreshing drink, mix a splash of vinegar with cold mineral water; its finely nuanced acidity makes it a delight even when diluted.
Quality you can trust
At Adrian Manufaktur, sustainability is part of our quality promise: We rely on hand-selected raw materials and a long maturation process. This pear vinegar consists solely of fermented juice from ripe pears – without any artificial additives. The extended maturation period ensures an elegant, harmonious acidity. To preserve its quality, store the vinegar in a cool, dry, and dark place.
